In 1888, Empress Cixi ordered to reconstruct the Garden in the same place and named it Yi He Yuan or the Garden of Nurtured Harmony.

This is the Garden of Virtuous Harmony, where Emperor Qianlong and Empress Cixi were entertained with Beijing Opera performances.
