Tian An Men
Tian An Men was burned again in 1644
when the farmer rebel Li Zi Cheng was defeated by the Manchus. He set
fire to the gate before fleeing away from Bei Jing. It was rebuilt for
the second time in 1651, which is the structure we see today.
