Jing Shan Park The Palace of Heavenly Purity, Hall of Union and the Palace of Earthly Tranquility make up inner court of the Forbidden City, as shown in this picture. The inner court used to be the residential area of the emperor and the royal family. The Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Complete Harmony and the Hall of Preserving Harmony form the Outer Court of the Forbidden City.
