Ming Tombs Only two of the thirteen tombs are open to the tourist now, namely, Chang Ling and Ding Ling. Chang Ling is the tomb of Emperor Yong Le and his wife Empress Xu. He ruled for 22 years after he ousted the second emperor. Chang Ling is is the first and the largest of the Ming Tombs. The tomb was constructed in 1409 and completed in 1427. All the photos you see in this page are from Chang Ling.
