Forbidden City - Six Eastern Palaces

According to folklores, there are 9,999 and 1/2 rooms in the Forbidden City. Since Heaven has 10,000 rooms, the Son of Heaven on earth cannot have 10,000 rooms. It is also rumored that this half-room is located to the west of the Wen Yuan Ge (the imperial library). The truth is, although the Forbidden City has more than 9,000 rooms, this half-room does not exist.
